    The European Association for Study Abroad (EUASA) is looking for volunteers to help us advance our mission.  EUASA is a pan-European group representing U.S. study abroad on the ground, and holds workshops, virtual conferences, and other professional opportunities, as well as providing support and networking opportunities for on-site staff in Europe.

  • Read the Frontiers Special Issue: U.S. Study Abroad the View From Europe

    The issue contains 10 papers plus an editorial on topics relating to US study abroad in Europe, from our European on-site perspectives.  Twenty seven authors from 7 countries worked very hard on this for over a year.  A great publication from the EUASA team!

  • Connect with Professionals and Enhance Experiences with a European Perspective on Education Abroad​

    The Forum on Education Abroad’s 2025 European Institute is brought to the field in collaboration with the European Association of Study Abroad (EUASA). Hosted by Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Europe, the Institute will be an opportunity to connect with colleagues from around Europe and address key issues facing on-site study abroad professionals and faculty. This event is for anyone in international education interested in enhancing the onsite experiences of learners and fostering collaboration among colleagues across Europe. The Institute will include interactive sessions presented from a European perspective focused on the most pressing topics in the field of education abroad.

  • European Institute 2023

    The 2023 European Institute is a collaboration between The Forum on Education Abroad and the European Association of Study Abroad. It will be an opportunity to connect with colleagues from around Europe and address key issues facing on-site study abroad professionals and faculty. This event is for anyone in international education interested in enhancing the onsite experiences of learners and fostering collaboration among colleagues across Europe.  

    The Institute will include workshops from a European perspective focused on equity, diversity and inclusion, supporting students’ mental health, and sustainability. A facilitated open forum will close the institute which will engage participants in producing a curated deliverable to share with the education abroad community.

EUASA Annual Virtual Conference

  • This conference was held virtually on March 7, 2025, 14:00-17:30 CET.

    Organised by on-site staff in Europe, the conference celebrated the publication of our Special Issue of Frontiers: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Study Abroad entitled US Study Abroad: The View from Europe. Article authors were present to discuss their contributions on topics ranging from staff and faculty issues,DEI, social media use, climate action, mental health on-site, language learning, and more.
